In earlier time, they never used to torture or forcefully taking cow's milk. Whatever is needed to use per day, that much amount of milk was only taken from cow. And during the process of collecting milk, if they felt cow is not comfortable, they immediately stop it. And that day they do not use milk. This thing I have personally seen in MP, India in 2017 Paryushan. For more detail you can call on my mobile printed in my profile
Hello Miss. Vrushali,
Original Jains (not liberal) are strict than vegans. Jains do not eat food after sunset. Because after sunset and food started generating countless amount of bacteria on it which has flesh in it. So it equal to non-vegetarian food. We dont believe it because we cant see it wit naked eyes. But if that food particle is kept on the higher end microscopic plate, it can be seen moving on it.
Jains do not consume honey. But since there is not much awareness among people about animal cruelty in dairy industries jains do not refrain from consuming dairy products. Also i personally believe if you are getting milk from milkman(whom you know, can be your neighbor) instead of buying the packed milk then there’s nothing wrong/cruel in it.
