Shri Vasupujya Swamiji

Shri Vasupujya Swamiji, or Shri Vasupujya Swami, refers to the 12th Tirthankara in Jainism. Tirthankaras are revered spiritual teachers who have attained ultimate knowledge (Kevala Jnana) and have liberated their souls from the cycle of birth and death. Shri Vasupujya Swami is an important figure in Jain tradition, and his life and teachings are highly respected among Jain followers.

Born in Champapuri (present-day Bhagalpur, Bihar) to King Vasupujya and Queen Jaya, he renounced worldly life and attained enlightenment after rigorous penance. His teachings emphasize non-violence, truth, and asceticism, key principles in Jain philosophy.

Temples dedicated to Shri Vasupujya Swamiji can be found in various parts of India, where devotees offer prayers, perform rituals, and seek spiritual guidance. These temples serve as important centers for the Jain community to come together for religious activities and celebrations.
