Myth is famous saying," Nada, Diyada, Nandiya. Jeevit swami Vandiya." This teerth is said to be builded by elder brother of Bhagwan Mahaveer, Shri Nandivardhan. The idol was established during the period of Bhagwan Veer. The inscriptions on the pillars of the temple prooves its nature of ancient, having marks VS 1130 to 1210 on them. It was known as Nandiyak Chaitya in old days.
