As per the instruction of Shri Vardhaman Surisharji Maharaj, Shri Vastupal Tejpal renovated this temple on 1286. 52 Idols were in this Temple.A king, inspired by Shri Uktasuri Maharaj, renovated the temple on 1302 Vikram Era.Mughal Invasion made this temple worst affected place in the 14th Century. on 1760 Vikram Era, the new temple was built and the idols were installed.The idol of Bhagawan Shri Bhidbhanjan Parshwanath is in a small temple to the right of the main idol, and the idol of Bhagawan Shri Ajitnath is in a small temple to the left of the main idol. About Muchhal Mahavir TempleMuchhal Mahavir Temple is a famous Jain Temple. As per legend, when Rana of Mewar was on his way to hunting, he visited this temple and was offered refreshment by a priest. Rana co-incidentally found a strand of hair in the Prasad and asked the priest if his Lord has a moustache. Moreover, Rana refused to offer prayers that day and demanded the priest to show him the moustache on his return after 3 days. On his behalf, the priest offered prayers for 2 days. Impressed by his prayers, Lord Mahavir appeared to him and told him to cover the idol with a cloth. On his return, Rana asked the priest to remove the cloth. When he removed the cloth, not only did he see two moustache, but he also saw a beard on the face of the idol. Rana realised his mistake and asked the priest to forgive him. Since then, the idol of Lord Mahavir is called Muchhal Mahavir. This is a delightful temple surrounded by hills. It is ancient and beautiful. The open squares, pillars and artistic models in the round passage are delightful. Mulnayak of the Temple is nearly 120 cms. high, white - colored idol of Bhagawan Mahavir Swami in the Padmasana Posture.
