The contributions made by the brave and devout Jain householder families of this place during the battle between Shahbuddin Ghori and the local king Dharavarsh in Vikram year 1253 is noteworthy in as much as wounded and scarred Shahbuddin Ghori had to make a hasty and ignominious retreat from here. The Jain families of this place being inspired by Acharya Bhagwants of Kashrbud to do any deeds of religious glorification have enhanced the prestige of Jain religion.Every year on Vaishakh Sukla 10, a flag is being hoisted here on the mast of the temple Sikhar. There is no other temple in the immediate vicinity. The sight of this ancient temple surrounded by 52 small single room-shrines .
