This devsthan is said to be existing from twelthe century of Vikram Samvat. It is said that the temple was constructed by Seth Shri Lala Shah Ostwal in which the moolnayak idol was established on Vaishakh Shukla10, of V.S. 1134 by the honorary hands of Achary Shri Hemsurishwarji. Another idol was established by Acharya Shri Vijaysensurishwarji on 11 day of Vaishakh Shukla in the year of V.S. 1653. Regular pooja is offered between 7.00 am and 12.00 noon Khimel is one of the ancient village among Gorhwarh kshetra, with a dense population of Jains. It has three temples. The oldest one is situated at the bank of a river towards east of village, having the moolnayak idol of Shri Shantinah Bhagwan. It is said that the temple was built by Shri Leela Shah Ostwal in VS 1149. As per the inscriptions carved on the idol of Shri Shantinath Bhagwan, the anjanshalaka was performed by Hemsuriji in samvat 1134. The other temple is present just outside the village. Construction of this huge temple (having Bavan Jinalay) was done by Smt. Nagibai, the wife of Shri Khumji Gadaiya in VS 1920. The inspiration part of Smt. Nagibai is not known but it is said that she fot the directions in her nightmare for constructing an Jain temple. She thrown herself completely for achieving this target and collected money from many of Jain Pedhi's & successfully built this temple. The shyamvarniya idol of moolnayak Bhagwan Rishabhdev was established in the temple during VS 1928, at that time only 14 dehari's of the temple was ready. The pratishtha of the temple took place in VS 1958. The samadhi temple of Shri Vijayrajendra Surishwarji is present near the Bavadi constructed by Mehta Mokamsingh at the bankmof the river.
