The Gadarmal Digamber Jain Mandir and Choubeesee Digamber Jain Van Mandir, located in Badoh, Madhya Pradesh (Kala Kshetra), are two historically and religiously significant Jain temples. The Gadarmal Digamber Jain Mandir, believed to have been constructed in the 9th or 10th century, is renowned for its intricate architecture and sculptures that depict various Tirthankaras and Jain mythological scenes. This ancient temple primarily venerates Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara, and serves as a testament to the rich Jain heritage. Adjacent to this is the Choubeesee Digamber Jain Van Mandir, which comprises 24 small shrines dedicated to each of the 24 Tirthankaras. Nestled in a serene forested area, the Van Mandir aligns with Jain principles of non-violence and reverence for nature, offering a tranquil environment for meditation and reflection. Both temples are central to the Jain community in Madhya Pradesh, hosting numerous religious activities, festivals like Mahavir Jayanti and Paryushan, and rituals that draw devotees from far and wide, thus preserving and promoting the spiritual and cultural values of Jainism.
