The shrine belongs to the period of hoary past to know the exact antiquity of which is very difficult. A reference is available about its repairs and renovations having been carried out in Vikram year 1548. This is the place where Sri Sridhar Kevali attained Moksha. The idol of Sri Mahavir Swami is quiet looking, sober and miraculous. People around the area know it as Bade Baba and they keep coming in thousands with faith and devotion for offering their prayers and worship. Very often miracles take place here. Such an ancient large size, magnificent and beautiful of Sri Adinath Bhagwan seated in a lotus posture is found nowhere else.Besides this temple, there are 46 more temples on the mountain and 18 at the base.The miraculous idol of Sri Bade Baba cannot be described in words. The group of temples on the mountain top appears very enchanting. There is a large lake at the base of the mountain known as Vardhaman Sagar which adds beauty to the whole area.
