This temple is believed to have been built about 150 years ago but the icon is an ancient one. It is one of the “Panchtirthi” of Bengal. Several wealthy Jains with their families from Murshidabad had come and settled here making the village both prosperous and populous. These families had actively participated in various activities of social welfare and religious celebrations.Besides this there are three other temples nearby. The architecture of the temple and the art and sculpture work of the idol are praise worthy. In the nearby temple of Sri Vimalnath Bhagwan, there are many old hand drawn pictures which are beautiful. For lodging there is a dharamshala in the nearby temple courtyard of Sri Vimalnath Bhagwan, where water, electricity, bhojanshala for meals and arrangement for “Ayambil” etc are available. A free snack by way of “Bhatha” is given to pilgrims in the dharamshala.
