Ancinet stone-inscriptions found in the temple reveal the old name of this village as Kachhulika. On the seat of the “Parikar” there is an inscription dated Vikram year 1343. This shrine is believed to be of an older period. This is the place where Kachholowal Gachchha was founded. At one time this place was a large and vast prosperous city and thousand of Jain householders affluent families and resided here. Every year on Magwar Sukla 10 a flag is hoisted on the mast of the temple dome. There is no other temple in the vicinity. The idol of the Lord here is quiet, sober and dignified. The architecture of the temple too is of a very high quality.
