This shrine was built in vikram year 1928 by Patva Sheth Sri Himatramji Bafna and its consecration ceremony was performed at the hand s of Acharya Sri Jinmahendrasuriji. The temple was renovated around 25 years back but the idol here is the same ancient one that is believed to be of the time of king Samprati. This is one of the Panch Tirthishrines of Jaisalmer. The congregation of Jain pilgrims taken out to Sri Shatrunjay temples by Bafna brothers of this place is well known. The country’s famous quary yellow stone is located here. The special quality of this stone is that it gets harder and harder as more and more water falls on it. The stone is famous as Jaisalmer stone. This two storey temple in the middle of a large lake looks attractive , artistic, and magnificent. Various objects made out of local yellow stone here are unrivalled worth seeing. The garden opposite the temple is laid out in a special manner. The hall of the temple as also carving on stone is beautiful. The designs carved on the stone walls all around are just admirable.Nearby on the banks of the lake itself there are two other temples constructed by Sheth Sri Savai Ramji Pratapchandji and Oswal Panchayat. There are here two Dadawadis also. These temples were built in Vikram years 1897 and 1903 respectively. The temple built by Oswal Panchayat is also called Doongersy’s temple. The idol here is very large and extremely beautiful. It is believed to have been brought from Vikrampur and is almost 1500 years old. In Dadawadis, the foot-prints of Yugpradhan Dada Sri Jinkusalsurishvarji are enshrined.
