Did tirthankars eat in gujarati
According to Jain teachings and scriptures, the Tirthankaras, including Lord Mahavira, consumed only pure vegetarian food that was obtained with minimal violence (ahimsa). They did not specifically eat "Gujarati food" as we understand it today, since the regional cuisines developed much later. The food consumed by Tirthankaras was simple, sattvic (pure), and free from root vegetables, fermented items, and any form of violence toward living beings, following the strict Jain dietary principles.
Jain texts describe that Tirthankaras, especially after attaining kevalgyan (omniscience), accepted alms (aahar) from devotees in the form of boiled or simple food, without any personal preference for regional cuisine. The focus was always on non-violence, purity, and detachment rather than the specifics of local or regional food traditions.
