According to Jain scriptures and traditional accounts, Bhagwan Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, spent his life primarily in the regions of present-day Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, and parts of Madhya Pradesh in India. There is no mention in Jain texts or historical sources of Mahavir traveling to Afghanistan. His teachings and wanderings were centered in the ancient kingdoms of Magadha and neighboring regions.
