Anant chaturdashi fasting digambar
Anant Chaturdashi is an important day in Jainism. In Digambar Jains, it is observed as the last day of the Dus Lakshan Parva (the ten Lakshan vows). It marks the conclusion of that period of spiritual observance and fasting. The day after Anant Chaturdashi is Kshamavani, the Forgiveness Day, when Jains ask for forgiveness from others for any wrong done, knowingly or unknowingly.
Key points for Digambar tradition:
- Anant Chaturdashi = last day of the Dus Lakshan Parva.
- Fasting and intensification of self-discipline typically accompany these days.
- Kshamavani (forgiveness day) is observed one day after Anant Chaturdashi.
