Who explained to indra the reality of nigod
In Jain tradition, the reality of nigod (the lowest form of life, extremely microscopic and with minimal consciousness) was explained to Indra by Lord Mahavira. According to Jain scriptures, after Lord Mahavira attained omniscience (Kevala Jnana), Indra—the king of heavenly beings—approached him with various questions about the nature of existence, souls, and the cycle of birth and death.
It was during these discourses that Mahavira explained the concept of nigod, describing these beings as innumerable souls in a state of extreme bondage and ignorance, with minimal capacity for spiritual progress. These teachings are found in the Jain Agamas and commentarial literature.
Thus, Lord Mahavira explained the reality of nigod to Indra.
