If somebody is digambar what eay to greet them
In Digambar Jain tradition, a polite and common greeting is:
- Jai Jinendra (hands folded in namaste)
Other respectful options:
- Namo Arihantanam (glory to the Arihants) – more formal and devotional
- Namaskar (a simple respectful greeting)
Notes:
- Jai Jinendra is widely used by both Digambar and Shwetambar communities, so it’s a safe, respectful choice when meeting Digambar Jains.
- If you know they prefer a more devotional greeting, you can use Namo Arihantanam, but Jai Jinendra is usually perfectly appropriate in everyday encounters.
