Kohele gotra is
Kohele gotra is an occupational gotra in Jain tradition. It refers to descendants who historically belonged to the work of cashiers/treasurers. In other words, Kohele (Koûhärï) gotra arose from the occupation of handling money and accounts, and it is one of the many gotras that Jains formed based on professions. There are notes in Jain literature that such occupational gotras were recognized and passed down through generations, sometimes with regional or caste-based connections. Digambar and Shwetambar communities both use the gotra system, but spellings and exact sub-gotra lists can vary between traditions.
