What is Anantha
Ananta (अनन्त) means infinite or limitless—without end. In Jainism, this word is often used to describe the infinite nature of the soul, the cosmos, or the path of spiritual progress.
Anantanath (अन्नतनाथ) is also the name of the 11th Tirthankara in Jain tradition. The name literally means “the eternal/lord of the end,” and he is revered as one of the 24 great teachers who liberated beings and taught the Jain path. If you’d like, I can share more about his life stories and teachings from Jain scriptures, noting how Digambara and Śvetāmbara traditions describe him.
