Namo Siddhanam

Namo Ayariyanam

Namo Uvajjayanam

Namo Loe Savvasahunam

Meaning (arth) in Jain Dharma:

• Namo Arihantanam: I salute the Arihants (those who have conquered inner passions and realized enlightenment).
• Namo Siddhanam: I bow to the Siddhas (liberated souls who have attained moksha).
• Namo Ayariyanam: I bow to the Acharyas (spiritual teachers who guide seekers along the path).
• Namo Uvajjayanam: I bow to the Upadhyayas (those who teach the Jain scriptures).
• Namo Loe Savvasahunam: I bow to all the Sadhus (monks and nuns) who follow the path with austerity.

Overall essence:

• It is a humble, respectful salutation to the five wise beings who support the seeker on the path to liberation (darma). It also serves to remind the practitioner to cultivate right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct.
