In Jain cosmology, the 24 Tirthankaras of the present time cycle are born in Bharat Kshetra, which is the central region of Jambudvipa (the world’s “land of humans” in our cycle). So, in the current kalpa they are not born in distant lands or other continents; they appear within Bharata Kshetra of Jambudvipa. There are also other Kshetras (like Mahavideha Kshetra and Airavat Kshetra) where Tirthankaras can reside or teach in different cycles, but in the present cycle the birthplaces for the 24 Tirthankaras of Bharat Kshetra are within Bharat Kshetra itself. This view is shared by both Digambara and Śvetāmbara traditions, though exact regional details can vary slightly between texts.
