Want to know that one stanza which is remove from Uvassagharam strotra

    one year ago 149

Certainly. The Uvassagharam Stotra (also spelled "Uvasaggaharam Stotra") is a highly revered Jain prayer dedicated to Tirthankara Parshvanath, believed to remove obstacles and negative influences. Traditionally, the stotra consists of 8 main verses (shlokas), and sometimes a 9th verse (the phalasruti or "fruit of recitation" stanza) is included.

The stanza that is sometimes omitted from recitation in some traditions is the 9th stanza (the phalasruti). This stanza describes the benefits (phala) one attains by reciting the stotra. Some Jain sects or practitioners choose to recite only the original 8 verses, omitting the 9th, as it is considered an addition to the original composition.

Here is the 9th stanza that is sometimes omitted:

    सिद्धि सउ चउव्विहि पडिवाणे, छट्ठे च यंण वाच्छए। पुण्णफलं लहए सुद्धं, तिहु लोए पासस्स॥

Transliteration: Siddhi sau chauvihi padivāṇe, chaṭṭhe cha yaṁṇa vāchchhae | Puṇṇaphalaṁ lahae suddhaṁ, tihu loe pāsassa ||

Meaning: Whoever recites this (stotra) 8, 21, or 108 times, with pure intention, obtains auspicious fruits (punya) and the blessings of Parshvanath in all three worlds.

This is the stanza that is most commonly omitted in some traditions when reciting the Uvassagharam Stotra. The core 8 verses are universally accepted and recited. The inclusion or exclusion of the 9th verse depends on sectarian or regional practice.
