Can jains eat olives
Short answer: Yes. Jains can eat olives.
Why: Olives are fruits from a tree and do not fall under the typical Jain prohibition on root vegetables (which are avoided to minimize harm to tiny organisms and to prevent uprooting the plant). Like other plant-based foods, olives are allowed as long as they are free from non-vegetarian additives and prepared with ahimsa in mind. There is no special Digambara or Śvetāmbara rule against olives specifically; both traditions generally permit plant-based fruits and vegetables, subject to local maryada and guidance from one’s guru.
