Mangal divo meaning
Mangal Divo means the "auspicious lamp" (Mangal = auspicious; Divo = lamp/light). In Jain rituals, it is a small lamp lit at the start of prayer or puja to invite auspiciousness, dispel obstacles, and bless the proceedings. It symbolizes light guiding the mind toward virtue and right conduct. Both Digambara and Śvetāmbara traditions use this concept, though the exact ceremonial details can vary by lineage.
