In Jainism, there is a clear difference between Digambar and Shwetambar views on whether women can attain moksha (liberation).

• Digambar: traditionally teach that women cannot attain moksha on their own and must be reborn as a man to achieve liberation. In this view, Sita, if following Digambar beliefs, would have to take birth again as a male to attain Moksha.

• Shwetambar: teach that women can attain liberation directly and do not require rebirth as a man. In this view, Sita could achieve moksha in her present form, given the right karma and spiritual progress.

Both traditions share core Jain principles (ahimsa, anekantavada, etc.), but they differ on the status of women’s path to liberation. You can read more about how these two major sects differ here
