In Jain cosmology, after Mahavira (the 24th Tirthankara of this cycle) there will be a new ascending half-cycle (utsarpini). The first Tirthankara of that next cycle is traditionally Rishabhanatha (Adinath). In Airavat Kshetra, a fresh set of 24 Tirthankaras is said to arise in the new cycle, starting with Rishabhanatha in that future era. Different texts or traditions may give slight variations in the exact future names (e.g., Padmanabh or Mahapadma), but the common core is that the next cycle begins with Rishabhanatha.
