Acharya Mahashraman ji is the 11th (current) Acharya of the Śvetāmbara Terapanth Jain order. He was born Mohan Dugar on 13 May 1962 in Sardarshahar, Rajasthan, and was ordained as a monk in 1974. Under the guidance of earlier Acharyas, he rose to leadership and was formally enthroned as Acharya on 23 May 2010 after the passing of Acharya Mahapragya. As the head of Terapanth, he guides major activities like Anuvrat, Preksha Meditation, and Jeevan Vidyā (Science of Living), and he led the Tri-Nation Ahimsa Yatra (2014–2022), walking tens of thousands of kilometers to promote nonviolence, harmony, and moral values. Terapanth is a Śvetāmbara Jain order; Digambar and Śvetāmbara are two main traditions within Jainism, and Terapanth belongs to the Śvetāmbara tradition.
