In which language aagam were written
The Āgams (also spelled Agamas), which are the canonical scriptures of Jainism, were originally composed in Ardhamagadhi Prakrit. Some later Jain texts were also written in other Prakrit languages, such as Shauraseni and Maharashtri, as well as Sanskrit. However, the primary and earliest Jain scriptures, especially those of the Śvetāmbara tradition, are mainly preserved in Ardhamagadhi Prakrit.
