Mahavir Swami praised Dhanna Kakandi (also known as Dhanna Angar) for his ayambil tapas. Dhanna Kakandi is celebrated in Jain tradition for undertaking a very hard ayambil penance, and Mahavir specifically commended him for that challenging tap.
