In Jainism, the words of the Tirthankaras (often called Prabhu) are studied and taught by:

• Monks and nuns (sadhus and sadhvis) who study the scriptures and preach the teachings.
• Ac ary as and senior teachers who lead monasteries and monk/shrine communities.
• Upadhyayas and other qualified teachers who formally impart Jain scriptures (Sutra, Agama, and other canonical texts) to both monks and lay followers.
• Learned lay followers (shravaks and shravikas) who study the scriptures and participate in //samayikas//, lectures, and discourses.
• Jain scholarly communities and teachers within the Jain sangh who organize classes, debates, and expositions of the scriptures.

In short: ordained monks and nuns, senior Jain teachers/acharyas, upadhyayas, and knowledgeable lay students collectively study and propagate Prabhu’s teachings.
