In Jainism, the soul (jiva) keeps wandering through different realms due to karma. The human realm is one of those possible births, but it is not a final stopping point. A soul can be born again in other realms (animal, heavenly, hell) depending on the karma it has accumulated.

So, the idea of “getting stuck” in the human realm is not permanent by doctrine. A soul can stay in human birth for many cycles if karmas are not burned off, but by following right conduct (simple living, ahimsa, truth, non-attachment, etc.) and freeing karma, one can achieve moksha—liberation from all cycles of rebirth.

Key point: liberation is possible from the human state, and the goal is to exhaust all karma so that the soul stays in its pure, infinite nature forever.
