Bhomiya Ji Maharaj is the guardian (kshetrapal) and Adhisthayak dev of Sammed Shikharji (Shikharji) in Jharkhand. He is believed to protect pilgrims as they undertake the ascent and journey across the temple cluster on the hill. Before climbing, devotees traditionally pay homage to Bhomiya Ji and seek his blessing for safety and guidance. His presence is especially focal at the Madhuban base (Talheti) where a Bhomiya Ji temple is located.
