What is the equivalent of aruna in jainism
In Jain cosmology, Aruna (अरुण) refers to Aruṇadvīpa, one of the nine continents of the middle world (madhyaloka). It is the central landmass encircled by the ocean called Aruṇasamudra (or simply Aruṇa). So the “equivalent” of Aruna in Jainism is Aruṇadvīpa along with its surrounding Aruṇasamudra. This terminology appears in both Śvetāmbara and Digambara texts on cosmology, such as the standard cosmographic works.
