Jambudweep na atihsthata dev
Jainism teaches that the universe is divided into several regions, and Jambudweep is the central continent in the middle world (Madhyalok). According to Jain cosmology, "Atishayik Devs" or "Atihsthata Devs" are celestial beings who reside in the heavens (Devlok), which are located above the middle world.
However, in Jambudweep itself, there are no Atihsthata Devs residing. The beings that inhabit Jambudweep are humans, animals, plants, and some lower forms of life. The Devas (gods or heavenly beings) reside in the higher realms, such as Saudharm Kalpa, Ishaan Kalpa, and other Devlokas, not in Jambudweep.
In summary:
- Atihsthata Devs do not reside in Jambudweep.
- Only human beings and other terrestrial life forms are found in Jambudweep.
- Devas reside in the upper worlds (heavens), not in Jambudweep.
