In Jainism, belief in a personal creator God is not required. The spiritual path focuses on one’s own effort to develop right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct (the three jewels) to attain liberation. Tirthankaras (enlightened teachers) are revered as perfect beings who show the path, but they are not gods who create or control the universe. Some Jain traditions describe many gods within the cosmos, yet these beings are themselves bound by karma and not the ultimate source of liberation. So it is perfectly acceptable to not believe in a god in the sense of a creator deity; what matters is your own conduct, discipline, and spiritual progress toward moksha.
