Which mountains.did the 24 tirthankars attain moksha by ranking

    10 months ago 370

Here is the order of the 24 Tirthankaras by where they attained moksha (liberation), based on traditional Jain sources:

    1) Rishabhanatha (Adinath) – Mount Ashtapada (Kailash) 2) Ajitanatha – Mount Sammed Shikharji (Parasnath Hills) 3) Sambhavanatha – Mount Shikharji 4) Abhinandananatha – Mount Shikharji 5) Sumatinatha – Mount Shikharji 6) Padmaprabha – Mount Shikharji 7) Suparshvanatha – Mount Shikharji 8) Chandraprabha – Mount Shikharji 9) Pushpadanta – Mount Shikharji 10) Shitalanatha – Mount Shikharji 11) Shreyansanatha – Mount Shikharji 12) Vasupujya – Champapuri (Bihar) 13) Vimalanatha – Mount Shikharji 14) Anantanatha – Mount Shikharji 15) Dharmanatha – Mount Shikharji 16) Shantinatha – Mount Shikharji 17) Kunthunatha – Mount Shikharji 18) Aranatha – Mount Shikharji 19) Mallinatha – Mount Shikharji 20) Munisuvratanatha – Mount Shikharji 21) Naminatha – Mount Shikharji 22) Neminatha – Mount Girnar (Gujarat) 23) Parshvanatha – Mount Sammed Shikharji (Parasnath Hills) 24) Mahavira – Pavapuri (near Patna)

    Notes:

    • Most Tirthankaras are traditionally said to have attained moksha at Shikharji (Sammed Shikharji). Rishabhanatha is said to have attained moksha at Mount Ashtapada (often associated with Kailash), while Neminatha and Mahavira are linked to Girnar and Pavapuri respectively, and Vasupujya to Champapuri.
    • Shikharji is a central sacred site because it is the place where many Tirthankaras are believed to have attained moksha.
