In Jainism, "Narakis" are beings who reside in the hellish realms, known as "Naraka." The type and extent of knowledge (gyaan) available to Narakis is described in Jain scriptures.

According to Jain philosophy, there are five main types of knowledge (pañca jñāna):

1. Mati Jnana (sensory knowledge)
2. Shruta Jnana (scriptural or verbal knowledge)
3. Avadhi Jnana (clairvoyant knowledge)
4. Manahparyaya Jnana (telepathic knowledge)
5. Kevala Jnana (omniscience)

For beings in Naraka:

• Narakis possess only the first two types of knowledge: Mati Jnana and Shruta Jnana.

- Mati Jnana: Knowledge acquired through the senses and mind. - Shruta Jnana: Knowledge acquired through communication or scriptures.

• Narakis do not possess Avadhi Jnana, Manahparyaya Jnana, or Kevala Jnana.
• Their knowledge is also considered to be obscured and limited due to their severe suffering and karmic bondage.
