According to Jain tradition, in Lord Mahavira’s first sermon (Samavaśarana), he converted eleven Brahmins who became his Ganadharas (chief disciples). These eleven Ganadharas are Indrabhuti Gautama and the other ten named Brahmins, who then remembered and transmitted his teachings as the Jain scriptures.
