• In Śvetāmbara Jain narratives, Krishna is described as a cousin of Neminath. Their kinship is part of Purāṇa-era stories, and Krishna is said to have visited or met Neminath when Neminath renounced the world on the day of his marriage.
• In Digambara texts, the broader cosmology may include Krishna, but the cousin relationship is less central or differently emphasized; the core focus remains on Neminath as a Tirthankar and his path to kevala-jnana.
• Important note: Krishna is not a Tirthankar in Jainism. The Krishna-Neminath connection is a feature of Jain puranic literature and devotional traditions, not a claim of Jainism about Krishna’s spiritual status.
