    How to sidh navkar mantra

    one year ago 227

In Jainism, the Navkar Mantra (also called Namokar Mantra or Navakar Mantra) is the most sacred and fundamental mantra. The process of "siddh" (to make powerful or energized) of the Navkar Mantra is not about some occult practice, but about reciting it with utmost devotion, concentration, and understanding of its meaning.

How to Recite (Sidh) the Navkar Mantra:

    1. Purity and Cleanliness:

    - Sit in a clean and quiet place, preferably during early morning hours. - Wear clean clothes and maintain personal hygiene.

    1. Posture:

    - Sit in Padmasana (cross-legged) or any comfortable posture. - Keep your back straight and eyes closed.

    1. Mental State:

    - Calm your mind and focus on the divine qualities of the Panch Parmesthi (five supreme beings). - Let go of worldly thoughts, anger, and attachment.

    1. Recitation:

    - Recite the Navkar Mantra slowly, with clear pronunciation and full concentration. - You may recite it 9, 27, 108, or more times, as per your capacity and faith.

    1. Contemplation:

    - Reflect upon the meaning of the mantra: - Namo Arihantanam (I bow to the Arihants) - Namo Siddhanam (I bow to the Siddhas) - Namo Ayariyanam (I bow to the Acharyas) - Namo Uvajjhayanam (I bow to the Upadhyayas) - Namo Loe Savva Sahunam (I bow to all Sadhus/Saints of the world) - Understand that the mantra venerates qualities, not individuals.

    1. Regular Practice:

    - Make it a daily practice, ideally at the same time and place. - Maintain a positive and pure intention.

Note: There is no need for any external rituals or offerings to "sidh" the Navkar Mantra. Its power lies in your faith, devotion, and purity of mind. Jain texts and Acharyas emphasize right faith (samyak darshan), right knowledge (samyak jnana), and right conduct (samyak charitra) as the foundation for any spiritual practice.

    Additional Guidance:

    • If you wish, you may consult a Jain monk, nun, or knowledgeable layperson (Shravaka) for deeper understanding and guidance.
    • Remember, the Navkar Mantra is universal and does not seek favors or worldly benefits. It is recited for spiritual upliftment and inner purification.

In summary: To "sidh" the Navkar Mantra, chant it regularly with devotion, understanding, and purity, focusing on the qualities of the supreme beings it addresses. This is the true Jain way.
