7 days of weeks in Jain are worshipped to a particular which are the y

    one year ago 1126

In Jainism, the days of the week are often associated with the worship of particular Tirthankaras or deities. While the concept of assigning each day to a specific deity is more prominent in Hindu traditions, many Jain communities have adopted similar practices, especially in the context of daily rituals (pujas) and fasting (upvas).

Here is a common association of the days of the week with Tirthankaras or Yakshas/Yakshinis in Jain traditions:

    1. Sunday (Ravivar) – Worship of Adinath (Rishabhdev) Bhagwan, the first Tirthankara.
    2. Monday (Somvar) – Worship of Ajitnath Bhagwan, the second Tirthankara.
    3. Tuesday (Mangalvar) – Worship of Sambhavnath Bhagwan, the third Tirthankara.
    4. Wednesday (Budhvar) – Worship of Abhinandan Swami, the fourth Tirthankara.
    5. Thursday (Guruvar or Brihaspativar) – Worship of Sumatinath Bhagwan, the fifth Tirthankara.
    6. Friday (Shukravar) – Worship of Padmaprabhu Swami, the sixth Tirthankara.
    7. Saturday (Shanivar) – Worship of Suparshvanath Bhagwan, the seventh Tirthankara.

These associations may vary somewhat among different Jain sects and regions. Additionally, some Jains also observe special pujas, vrats (vows), or recite specific prayers dedicated to the Tirthankaras or their Yaksha/Yakshini on particular days of the week.

If you have a specific sect or regional tradition in mind, please clarify, as practices may differ.
