In Navkaravali (Navkar Mantra), Adinath Bhagwan is honored in the first pad. The first line is the pad for Arihants, and it is this pad that directly venerates Adinath (Rishabhadeva) as the first Tirthankar.

• Pad to chant for Adinath Bhagwan: the first pad, “Namo Arihantanam” (Namo Arihantanam). This line salutes the Arihants, of whom Adinath is the foremost.

If you chant the whole Navkar Mantra, you also recite the other four pads, but the one most closely associated with Adinath is the first pad. In Digambar and Shwetambar traditions, the wording is very similar, with minor script differences, but the first pad remains the one that venerates Arihants like Adinath.
