Three modes to achieve/mature bhavyatva
Three modes (paripāṇa) to mature bhavyatva (potential for liberation) in Jainism are:
- Samyak Darśana (right faith) — correct perception that the soul is pure and that liberation is possible.
- Samyak Jñāna (right knowledge) — true knowledge of tattvas (the fundamentals of reality) that clarifies what leads to liberation.
- Samyak Cāritra (right conduct) — living in harmony with the vows and disciplines that destroy karma.
Together these three form the Moksha marg (the path to liberation). Souls with bhavyatva can cultivate these three and steadily progress toward keval-jñāna and ultimate moksha. In many Jain texts, these three are listed as essential for spiritual progress; some traditions also emphasize tapas (ascetic discipline) as a fourth supportive element.
