Logassa Sutra (Lōgas-sa Sūtra) – Romanized lyrics

Logassa ujjoyagare, dhammāṇaṃ sahiyā maṇe, Eesiṃ jai ṇamokkāraṃ, savva pāvappaṇāsaṇaṃ. Mangalāṇaṃ ca savvesiṃ, padikkamāmi uttamaṃ, Logassa ussiyāraṇam, āriyāṇam ca vandanaṃ. Icchakāraṃ paṭikkammi, savva loe sukhāvahaṃ, Logassa tithayārāṇaṃ, vandāmi savva siddhiyā.

Arth (meaning) – brief summary

• Venerates all 24 Tirthankaras and seeks forgiveness for faults.
• Praises the spread of the Dharma and the upliftment of all beings.
• Proclaims devotion to Arihants and Siddhas and expresses reverence to those who have attained spiritual success.

Tradition notes

• There are minor variant readings between Digambar and Shvetambar traditions in how some syllables are pronounced or worded, but the essential meaning remains the same: reverence to the Tirthankaras, Arihants, and Siddhas, and the seeking of purification and upliftment.
