Mahavideh Kshetra is not on Earth. In Jain cosmology it is a central region of Madhyalok (the middle world) in Jambudvipa, around Mount Meru, lying to the north and south of Meru and between Bharat Kshetra and Airavat Kshetra. It is a land where Tirthankaras are continuously present; in our current era, Simandhar Swami is believed to reside there. Digambar and Śvetāmbara traditions both hold its location in Madhyalok, with that common understanding about its nature and inhabitants.
