I have taken Porsi Pachcan but haven’t drank water yet, can I take Sadh Porsi pachcan again?
In Jainism, "Porsi Pachkan" refers to a specific vow (pachkan) taken to observe a period of fasting or to eat only after a certain time (Porsi = around 11:48 AM). If you have taken Porsi Pachkan and have not yet consumed water or any food, your Pachkan remains unbroken.
According to Jain practice, if you wish to extend your Pachkan or change your original intention (for example, to shift from Porsi to Sadh Porsi, which is a later time, around 2:24 PM), you can take a new Pachkan (for Sadh Porsi) as long as you have not consumed anything (food or water) since taking the original Pachkan.
In summary: Yes, you may take Sadh Porsi Pachkan after taking Porsi Pachkan, provided you have not yet taken water or food. Once food or water is consumed, the original Pachkan time is considered complete, and you cannot change or extend it for that day.
It is always best to recite the new Pachkan clearly with the right intention and, if possible, consult with a Jain monk (Sadhu/Sadhvi) or a knowledgeable elder in your community for spiritual guidance and affirmation.
