Vahi Parshwanath is known for a very distinctive Mulnayak idol. What makes it unique:

• The idol is about 84 cm tall, black in color, and seated in the Padmasana (lotus) posture.
• It has a seven-hooded serpent umbrella (chatra) over its head.
• Beneath the idol, the tails of two tigers extend upward from behind and encircle the serpent hood, a feature not seen in other Parshwanath idols.

Additionally, this idol is the Mulnayak of the Vahi Parshwanath tirth, located in Vahi village. The temple is ancient, traditionally said to have been built by King Samprati and is over a thousand years old.

There are also devotional beliefs about the idol’s daily appearance changing: in the morning it looks like a child, at noon like a youth, and in the evening like an old man.
