Commonly cited surnames (family names) among Oswals include a mix of gotra names and clan names such as Surana, Parekh, Lodha, Nahata, Patni, Katariya, Lunawat, Choudhary, Rakhecha, Sakhal, and many more. Other frequently mentioned ones in various lists are Bharill, Firodiya, Kothar, Soman, and many additional gotras that developed over time.
