GAUTAM SWAMY JAP
Here is a very simple and commonly used Gautam Swami jap you can do every day:
1. Short Jap (easy for everyone) Repeat with devotion:
> “श्री गौतम स्वामी नमः” > “Shri Gautam Swami Namah”
Meaning (arth):
- I bow with respect to Shri Gautam Swami,
- May his pure knowledge, detachment and devotion help me walk on the right Jain path.

2. How to do this jap (simple way) You can do it:
- After Puja / Samayik / Pratikraman, or anytime in the day
- Sit in a clean, quiet place
- Remember Bhagwan Mahavir and Gautam Swami in your mind
- Chant slowly, with feeling – for example 108 times on a mala, or as much as you like
- Try to focus on these bhavs:

3. Longer prayers / stotra of Gautam Swami
In Jain tradition, there are many beautiful stotras and pads like:
- “Shri Gautam Swami Ashtak”
- “Gautam Naam Japo Nishdish” (collection of bhajans and stutis)
These describe his qualities, labdhis, and deep devotion to Mahavir Swami.

If you simply remember him with respect and do “श्री गौतम स्वामी नमः” regularly, that itself is a pure and good Gautam Swami jap.
