In Jain dharma, “લોચ” (Loch) means the ritual of plucking hair from the head by hand, usually done:

• when a person takes diksha (becomes a sadhu/sadhvi), or
• sometimes by very dedicated shravaks/shravikas as a special vow.

I’m not able to directly display an actual photograph here, but if you look up “Jain loch diksha” in an image search, you will typically see:

• A Jain muni or aryika / sadhvi sitting calmly, often on a white cloth.
• A senior sadhu/sadhvi gently plucking small bunches of hair from the head with fingers, not with scissors or a razor.
• The plucked hair collected on a cloth or in front of them.
• The atmosphere is serious and devotional, with people quietly watching; it is seen as a symbol of vairagya (detachment) and tyag (renunciation).

If you do search for images, please remember this is a very sacred and sensitive ritual in Jainism, not a spectacle, so it should be viewed with respect.
