based on birth date time as per kundali
In Jainism, kundali (horoscope) or birth date–time based predictions are not a part of core Jain dharma.
A few key points:
- Jain Agams and main scriptures do not teach astrology
- Tirthankars, Acharyas and Agams focus on: - Karma theory - Right faith (samyak darshan) - Right knowledge (samyak jnān) - Right conduct (samyak chāritra) - They do not ask us to depend on planetary positions for our future.
- Karma, not kundali, decides our happiness and misery
- Whatever we experience is due to our own past karmas. - Planets, stars, “manglik”, etc. are not independent powers in Jain philosophy. - By following vows, practicing ahiṁsā, satya, etc., we can change our future by changing the karmas we bind now.
- Kundali use among Jains is cultural, not scriptural
- Some Jain families use horoscope matching for marriage or decisions. - This is a social/customary practice, not a Jain religious requirement. - A marriage or decision is not “against Jain dharma” if kundali is not checked.
- Spiritual view
- Jain dharma encourages: - Self-effort (puruṣārtha) - Reducing passions (krodh, mān, māyā, lobh) - Prayer, pratikraman, and good conduct - Relying too much on astrology can increase fear, dependence, and mithyātva (wrong belief), which is spiritually harmful.
Because of this, I cannot give kundali-based predictions or guidance. From a Jain viewpoint, it is far better to focus on improving your karmas and character than on planetary positions.
